Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty

The Treaty was negotiated in Geneva by the Conference on Disarmament, was adopted by the General Assembly as resolution A/RES/50/245 on 10 September 1996, and opened for signature in September 1996. Open-ended working group on Disarmament
In December 2012, the UN General Assembly decided through resolution 67/56 to convene an open-ended working group (OEWG) to develop proposals to take forward multilateral nuclear disarmament negotiations for the achievement and maintenance of a world without nuclear weapons.
