The Arms Trade Treaty's (ATT) Fifth Conference of States Parties (CSP5) concluded on 30 August 2019 by adopting its final report. The participants were able to reach agreement on a set of financial issues, as well as on decisions and recommendations for taking forward work related to the Treaty’s gender and gender-based violence (GBV) provisions. More work, however, remains to be done for the Treaty to have a meaningful impact on preventing human suffering from the international arms trade.
