CCW 2014 Meeting of Experts on autonomous weapons

In 2014, the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons hosted its first multilateral, informal meeting on autonomous weapons, as a result of a mandate adopted at the 2013 CCW Meeting of States Parties.

In the same year, the Human Rights Council addressed the topic of autonomous weapons, through a report by the UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Executions.
