2020 NPT briefing book

Published in advance of the 2020 Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference, this briefing book provides an overview of critical issues and offers recommendations to governments for the Review Conference and beyond.

WILPF published comments and suggestions in response to draft elements for a political declaration on the use of explosive weapons in populated areas, circulated by the government of Ireland in January 2020.

WILPF and the Association for Progressive Communications have co-authored a new report looking at why and how gender matters in international cyber peace and security.

This updated study explores the ongoing and planned nuclear weapon modernisation programmes in China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, France, India, Israel, Pakistan, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

This briefing paper explores observations from the UN Programme of Action on small arms and light weapons process that can be applied to the growing calls for a programme of action on state behaviour in cyberspace.

The report provides an overview of the impact of the COVID-19-related changes in process and procedure at the United Nations, particularly in terms of transparency and accessibility to civil society.
